2022 Bishoujo Figures Pre-Orders Part 3 – Miko, Ryza, Rem, Kama, Minato Aqua, Amiya, Sumi and More

Top picks this time around are Minato Aqua and Ryza’s swimsuit figure. Don’t miss Minato Aqua if you don’t want to pay insane after-market prices later. Ryza is also looking really cheery. Sumi is available at a steal of a price which is being done by Kotobukiya whereas Kama looks really nice but comes at a very steep price.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai?: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen – Iino Miko – 1/7 (Animaru!)

Some sites have her listed under the brand TBS Glowdia which didn’t ring a bell. MFC reveals it is being manufactured by Animaru. And while Animaru doesn’t really have a lot of its portfolio of figures, it is a good company with a good reputation so I’m willing to put my money on it. The design of the figure however might be too simple for the asking price. Sadly, no other figures of her are on the radar.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive – Momochi Kiruya – F:Nex – 1/7 – ★6 (FuRyu)

I love FuRyu when it was in the business of making prize figures. But ever since FuRyu ventured into making scale figures, it has not upped its game. Right now, I hate FuRyu for depriving better companies of a chance to make good figures of PriConne and other franchises that I like. I can’t justify this price tag for something that would end up a mediocre figure.

Girls Frontline – OTs-14 – B-style – 1/4 – Dinner Dictator, Heavy Damage Ver. (FREEing)

Not a fan of GFL but the figure looks great. The unique base is also a nice touch. However, FREEing might be off their rockers on the pricing on this one (and most of their other recent 1/4 scale preorders). Most other 1/4 scales are priced at around ¥20k-ish but this one is at around ¥40k. I want to tell you not to preorder so as not to encourage companies to keep pushing prices up. I’m probably not going to change your mind if you’ve already made a decision but if you can, try not to preorder so the company knows we won’t bite any price point they give us.

Black ★ Rock Shooter – B-style – 1/4 – Bunny Ver. (FREEing)

Same crap FREEing has been trying to pull above. If you can, please don’t preorder. Let their low sales number show that this level of profiteering won’t fly. As much as I love, GSC and its cohorts, this is really irksome.

Atelier Ryza 2 ~Ushinawareta Denshou to Himitsu no Yousei~ – Reisalin Stout – 1/7 – Swimsuit Ver. (Good Smile Company)

It was either this or Ques Q’s swimsuit figure of Ryza. I bit on this one. Maybe I’ll end up getting both. That pretty much depends on Ques Q’s pricing of her.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Rem – KDcolle – 1/7 – Birthday Purple Lingerie Ver. (Kadokawa)

I can’t imagine people still preordering Rem figures unless you’ve only started collecting recently. It was cool a few years ago but the market is already saturated with too many Rem figures. And this one is already the fourth color variation of the same figure.

Original Character- YD – 1/7 (Astrum Design)

Astrum Design is a Chinese manufacturer. They are still fairly new and have not yet released any figures. So, be wary of that if you are going for this. Granted, the figure does look nice and that’s all we can rely on for now.

Luo Tianyi – 1/7 – Secret Garden Dress Ver. (VSINGER)

This is another Chinese manufacturer making a figure of a Chinese vocaloid. I wish we had larger images so we can see more of the details of the figure. The price is on the steep end though it could have been worse. If eStream made a figure like this, the price tag would double. As far as I know, VSINGER has not yet released any figures but they do have a few preorders open.

Luo Tianyi – 1/7 – Secret Garden Regular Clothes Ver. (VSINGER)

This is just an alternative version of the figure above. The character is done differently but the backdrop is the same. You can also see a difference in the color of the background. I’m not sure but that might be because of the background having a hologram effect so the color changes when you view it from a different angle. Or maybe it’s really just of a different color.

Shuumatsu no Harem – Suou Mira – 1/6 (Hakoiri Musume)

I’m not alone when I say this figure just looks really bad. This is just a big slap in the face of the writer and creator of the character. There’s no way anyone is paying ¥16,000 for this. If you are, I question your life choices.

Shuumatsu no Harem – Toudou Akira – 1/7 (Mirai Koujou)

And since we’re already on the subject of World End Harem, this figure is a better choice. The price is lower and the prototype looks leagues better than Suou Mira’s figure above.

Fate/Grand Order – Kama – KDcolle – 1/7 – Assassin (Kadokawa, Revolve)

There are a crap ton of details on this figure. The craftsmanship shown in the final product is superb. Even the base looks gorgeous. As good as it looks though, being priced at over ¥30,000 is a tough pill to swallow.

League of Legends – Star Guardian Zoe – 1/7 (Good Smile Arts Shanghai, Good Smile Company)

I wasn’t sure why Good Smile Company would be making a Zoe figure. There are a lot of more popular League characters out there that would make for a better scale figure. Not to mention, this skin is not very flattering for Zoe. I’d know I’d pay a lot of money for a figure of Kai’sa , Miss Fortune, Irelia, Morgana, Zyra or Evelyn. I did not mention Ahri mainly because Apex is already making a figure of her KDA skin. And Lux is also already getting a figure of her Elementalist skin.

With GSC at the helm on this one, quality should not be an issue. However, can you justify ¥30,000 for her? Mabe if you’re a Zoe main?

Hololive – Minato Aqua – 1/7 – Aqua Iro Super☆Dream♪ Ver. (Good Smile Company)

I’m not a big follower of streamers but what I do know is you’re going to regret it later if you don’t preorder this one. As big as Hololive is, the market value for this figure will definitely go up. Also, be thankful that she isn’t priced at over ¥30,000. It’s a sad state of affairs when average figure preorder prices are increasing. Just a few years ago, figures used to be priced at ¥8,000 a pop.

Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san – Nagatoro Hayase – Summer Queens – 1/8 (Our Treasure)

Bell Fine did Nagatoro dirty by making a crappy-looking figure of her. Our Treasure doesn’t seem to be any good too. Manage your expectations. Close-up photos reveal some poor-quality sculpt all over her hair and swimsuit. Also, the seams on the bangs are just bad. Hair on anime figures should not look like that. That’s just lazy work on the sculptors. Also, the skin tone of her legs is not the same. Don’t know if it’s just the lighting.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Rem/Ram – KDcolle – 1/7 – Birthday 2021 Ver. (Kadokawa)

Matching Rem and Ram figures — why not? Unless you already have a boatload of Rem and Ram figures. The only problem is the price. Getting both of them will set you back over ¥40,000.

THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – Miyamoto Frederica – 1/7 – Fre de la Mode Ver. (Alter)

I don’t know a lot about fashion but this looks like the trendiest idol outfit I’ve seen in a figure. There are a lot of good minor details. It’s a little on the expensive side and I don’t usually agree with Alter’s pricing but I’d say this one is worth the money.

High School DxD Born – Rias Gremory – 1/6 – Bunny ver. (Kaitendoh)

This is a rerelease of the regular version and the purple version of Kaitendoh’s bunny figure of Rias Gremory. And while Kaitendoh produces mediocre figures, it is highly unlikely for any other company to release a good figure of Rias based on the old and better art styles. You know… Before they changed supposedly to improve animation quality.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! – Wiz – 1/7 (Helios)

Just don’t. This looks like a low-quality prize figure. Sure, it’s on the cheap end, but you’re really only getting prize figure quality which should be around $10 to $20. The sculpt is boring. The paint job is flat. the face is derpy. And look at the size of her legs. Those look like insect legs.

KonoSuba is popular enough that we could soon get a proper figure of Wiz. Heck, if an unnamed loli succubus got her own figure, I’m pretty sure Wiz will get her own someday.

Arknights – Amiya – 1/7 – Fresh Fastener Deluxe Ver./Regular Edition (Hobby Max)

The poster girl of Arknights gets a new figure and the Deluxe version will burn a hole in your wallet. If you don’t care for the accessories and just want Amiya, the regular edition should be good enough. It’s good enough for me because the extra accessories will just look messy in my already very crowded display. You know the popular adage, less is more.

Kanojo, Okarishimasu – Sakurasawa Sumi – 1/7 (Kotobukiya)

It has been a while since we’ve last seen Sumi in the manga. Don’t get me wrong, I love her character but I’m not a fan of getting a figure with a ditzy expression. That’s just my personal preference but you can’t go wrong with this figure. Kotobukiya makes excellent quality figures at a good price. Kotobukiya is the only manufacturer that actually tries to keep its price low while still delivering good quality.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Echidna – F:Nex – 1/7 – China Dress Ver. (FuRyu)

If Kotobukiya makes good quality figures at a low price, FuRyu is the opposite. FuRyu makes (not exactly bad but) only passable quality but at a VERY STEEP price tag. Also, it’s still a little hard for me to imagine Echidna wearing something else other than her default outfit in the anime. She hasn’t really warmed up to me to suddenly become a lovable character. She’s still as mysterious as when we first saw her so it’s hard to be giddy when I see her sporting various outfits.

Original Character – Shikaouhonseizu – 1/7 (Myethos)

Myethos outdid themselves again. This figure looks gorgeous. It has a lot of details and a lot of colors. Her vestment is adorned with beautiful drawings all around which is a sign of excellent craftsmanship. The figure is on the expensive side and it is a little small considering she is a petite girl and she is sitting down.

Azur Lane – Baltimore – 1/7 – Regular/Lightweight Ver. (Alter)

I’ve always told myself I’m getting a Baltimore figure if one ever comes out. Love Baltimore but the asking price for her is too much. Her rigging isn’t even that large. Sure, the lightweight version is cheaper but I think it’s still overpriced. If you think the price is okay, then go for it. Alter rarely disappoints when it comes to quality.

Original Character – Sakura Kaede – 1/6 (Daiki Kougyou)

This is a hentai figure and is based on the original character by Sakura no Tomoruhie. The figure looks great in my opinion though I see some people complaining about her face. I think she looks just fine. The only worry here is Daiki Kougyou’s quality is hit or miss. Sometimes they hit the mark and do a good figure but they also sometimes drop the ball.
