FuRyu is on a roll. They make up a bulk of the lineup this time around. Their Rem and Shera look promising though I’d rather put my money on Good Smile Company’s new Kurumi figure. There are also some new figures from shitty figure manufacturers that I purposely left out.
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun T – Misaka Mikoto – F:Nex – 1/7 – Furisode (FuRyu)
Trivia for the day: a furisode is a type of kimono distinguishable with its long hanging sleeves. It is traditional formal attire for women. Misaka’s kimono is looking good with it’s various floral patterns though I’m not very hopeful as FuRyu has been known to mess up some details in figures.

Fate/Grand Order – Saber – B-style – 1/4 (FREEing)
Another B-style figure that isn’t actually a bunny outfit. This is actually a rerelease of what was supposed to be a “limited” and “exclusive” release. Better accessibility to figures should be welcomed by all collectors though it does belittle the meaning behind limited and exclusive releases if manufacturers just do rereleases every so often. Just don’t put the limited and exclusive tags if they aren’t.

Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu – Rem Galleu and Shera L. Greenwood – F:Nex – 1/7 – Wedding Dress (FuRyu)
Why choose who is best girl when you can have both? If you can afford both that is. There are sold separately but I see no reason to buy only one. Get them both. They even have matching bases.

Zombie Land Saga – Konno Junko – F:Nex – 1/7 – Wedding Dress (FuRyu, Mappa)
She’s a zombie, an idol, and in a wedding dress. That ticks a lot of boxes. Seems overpriced for just that level of detail though. It’s just a lot of ruffles. If I’m spending over ¥25,000 on a figure, it better be 1/4 scale or bigger.

THE iDOLM@STER: Shiny Colors – Higuchi Madoka – 1/7 – Clear Marine Calm Ver. (Broccoli)
I like the aesthetic. It’s as if she’s inside a glass sphere being filled with water. However, I do not have a lot of faith in Broccoli.

Date A Live – Tokisaki Kurumi – 1/7 – ~Zafkiel~ (Good Smile Company)
This is one of the best figures I’ve seen of Kurumi and since Good Smile Company is making it, quality wouldn’t be an issue. If you are looking for something, there’s plenty of Kurumi to go around. There’s Neko Kurumi, Lingerie Kurumi, Idol Kurumi, Bunny Kurumi, Kimono Kurumi, Maid Kurumi, China Dress Kurumi and there’s even a Bikini Armor Kurumi.

Seikatsu Shuukan The Animation – Ayaka – 1/6 (F.W.A.T)
It’s from the hentai where the big bro becomes a shota. Don’t ask me why I know that stuff. Just be wary if you are going to pre-order this. The company is fairly new and they just released their first figure last week. The reviews weren’t very promising.

Shining Resonance – Kirika Towa Alma – 1/7 – Sailor Fuku Edition (Ques Q)
How often do you get to see an elf in a sailor uniform? It’s mighty cute though the hair color doesn’t look very realistic. Not sure if it’s just on the promotional photos. I’ve seen plenty of figures that have had some not-so-good photos but turned up really nice. I’ve got a feeling this is one of those.

Arknights – Hoshiguma – F:Nex – Patrolling Ronin (FuRyu)
Not a big fan of the aesthetic. Looks like something out of Naruto which I’m not really a fan of.

Girls Frontline – PA-15 – 1/7 – Highschool Heartbeat Story (Phat Company)
Floofy ears – check! Floofy tail – check! This is also looking much better than her first figure also done by Phat Company. So if you missed the pre-order for the first figures, you needn’t worry. Just get this one instead.

Sentouin, Hakenshimasu! – Alice Kisaragi – KD Colle – 1/7 – Light Novel Ver. (Kadokawa)
I think the show was mediocre. Was mildly funny at times but nothing exceptional about it. She kind of reminds me of Yue from Arifureta. KD Colle is a decent manufacturer so the quality should be good.

THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – Yumemi Riamu – Dream Tech – 1/7 – Mizugi Shouhou (Wave)
I’m a sucker for swimsuit figures and this one has a lot going on. I’ve always said I’m not a fan of idol shows but iDOLM@STER figures always look good. She’s got great curves and cute fangs. Though I can’t overlook the fact that the liquid in her drink appears to defy gravity.

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? Bloom – Kirima Syaro – Wild Geese – 1/7 – Gothic Lolita Ver. (Bell Fine)
If you’re looking for a mediocre figure, then go for Bell Fine. If you want something better, I would recommend these ones from Funny Knights and Plum.

Original Character – Dicya One Wing – 1/7 (Daiki Kougyou)
This figure looks great. I’m getting Persona 5 vibes out of it. There’s a lot of great detail though I hear Daiki Kougyou is hit or miss when it comes to quality.

Original Character – Hanano Shirayuki (Union Creative International Ltd)
I guess she’s supposed to be Snow White. Union Creative really nails their prototypes pictures. They look good until the actual figures come to you. By then, they just look like oversized prize figures.
I’m gonna keep dissing Union Creative until I see them improve their quality. I still have a few pre-orders from then when I was none-the-wiser. If those pre-orders don’t turn out well, I’m never buying their figures again.

Original Character – Bishoujo Statue – Plastic Angel – Anje Come Down the Chimney – 1/7 (Kotobukiya)
I think it’s been a while since I’ve seen a new figure based on the works of Shunya Yamashita. And what the heck! Took me a while to realize that that Santa bag has Frame Arms in them. I suddenly want to believe Santa is real.

Arknights – Skadi – 1/7 – Elite 2 Ver. (Kotobukiya)
I played Arknights for a while but I didn’t stick around because the gameplay was too slow for my tastes. I loved the characters though. Heck, if they made a Skyfire figure in her swimsuit costume, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. That said, I didn’t play long enough to see Skadi. I think the figure looks great. It’s not often you see a figure with background effects like this one.

Original Character – COMIC Shingeki Cover Girl Sakurazawa Yuka – 1/5 (A+)
Zero points for realism. I don’t think I need to point it out. This went up for pre-order with just a one-month window before the release date. I’m not sure if this is a common theme for A+ figures but if you’re already up to your neck in pre-orders, it might be hard to suddenly fit this one on the budget.

Image removed. Sorry.
I started the NekoFigs blog in January 2021, 5 years after I’ve started collecting anime figures. It all started with one humble prize figure of Saber Lily which was bought on a whim. Now, I face the big problem of how to deal with over 200 empty boxes.
