Event Details
WonFes Winter 2024 is happening on February 11 at the usual venue, Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba. The venue will be open for admission starting at 10AM and the event closes at 5PM (JST). For directions going to Makuhari Messe, please check this map.
Where to Get Tickets?
Pre-sold admission tickets are available from December 15 to February 10. You can buy tickets here if you are in Japan or at Eplus and KKday for international attendees. If you miss the pre-sale window, you can still avail of same-day tickets on February 11 for ¥4,000. The ticket types vary, with the standard pre-sold admission ticket priced at ¥3,500, a discounted option for those under 22 at ¥2,200, and an afternoon discount at ¥2,300. Unfortunately, priority admission tickets are already sold out.
What is Wonder Festival?
Wonder Festival, often abbreviated as WonFes, is the event all anime figure collectors look forward to twice a year. The brings together talented artists, sculptors, and devoted fans.
The focus is on garage kits—individual or small studio-produced resin or plastic model kits for anime, manga, and video game figures. The event showcases diverse figures, cosplay events, and features major industry players unveiling products that they are working on. Attendees can explore exhibits, attend workshops, and purchase limited-edition releases of figures.

Prepainted scale figures from the top figure manufacturers are usually not revealed until the event opens to the public. During the exhibit, many companies prohibit taking photos so only event-goers usually get a good look at their new products. But thanks to devoted otaku ninjas armed with long-range lenses and discreet phone cameras who steal a few snaps, we can all still get a (pixelated) look at exhibits where photography is not allowed. I know everyone should follow the rules but kudos to these people who are probably risking getting banned from the event!

Wonderful Hobby Life For You 38
Good Smile Company, easily the largest figure manufacturer, is joining WonFes with its self-titled event “Wonderful Hobby Life For You 38”. Along with exhibits featuring the projects all the companies under the Good Smile Company umbrella are working, they will also be selling the limited edition 2024 Snow Miku Nendoroid: Snow Miku: Winter Delicacy Version. You will be able to purchase the limited edition Nendoroid from the Good Smile Online store during the event so you don’t have to worry if you cannot attend WonFes in person.
