I don’t know what’s happening but I’m seeing some pre-order prices that are lower than expected. Wishful thinking? I just hope this trend continues for the sake of all our wallets.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu – Emilia – Shibuya Scramble Figure – 1/7 – Hyouketsu no Emilia, Crystal Dress Ver (Alpha Satellite, eStream)
If you thought Shibuya Scramble figures by eStream were pricey. Be prepared to shell out a few thousand yen more for this one. It is similar to the first Shibuya Scramble figure of Emilia with some differences in the design. Obviously, the color is different. Personally, I prefer the facial expression and the color scheme of the first release. The first release has water and ice which has a serene vibe. This one has crystals that look somewhat menacing.
Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld – Asuna – F:Nex – 1/7 – China Dress Ver. (FuRyu)
This Asuna actually looks nice. One thing that has been going with Asuna figures is that manufacturers, for some reason, could not get her face right. I think this one is not too far off. But what I like about is that the face somehow looks Chinese which fits the theme. You have to pay extra to get the limited version with the wok but I like it for its quirkiness. Don’t expect to get a perfect figure though as FuRyu has been known to make a blunder or two.
THE iDOLM@STER: Shiny Colors – Osaki Tenka – 1/8 – Devoting Rinne ver. (AmiAmi)
I am not a big fan of idol shows but I have always fancied the iDOLM@STER figures. This one appears to have some great level of detail. And I think it’s great that AmiAmi has gotten into the figure manufacturing biz. I believe they have been dishing out some good ones. Usually, they partner with some other manufacturer for their releases but this one is just credited to them. Not the first time this happened though. I think the price on this one is good compared to the level of detail so if you’re a fan of her, I don’t see any reason to skip this pre-order.
Girls’ Frontline – M4 SOPMOD II – 1/7 – Drinking Party Cleaner Ver. (HOBBY MAX)
This figure has some good detail and the pricing is on point. This one is not listed on MFC and I really think they should reconsider adding China-made figures to their listings if the company that made it is in their database despite the origin of the figure being a Chinese intellectual property. MFC is missing out on listings on some good releases. I myself have started pre-ordering some figures that are not on MFC such as the Belfast Wedding Version and the Klee Spark Knight Version. I actually don’t know what their criteria is for denying listing as they clearly list some Azur Lane figures which is a Chinese IP.
Girls Frontline – ST AR-15 – 1/7 (Phat Company)
Another one from GFL. They’ve been getting a lot of figures lately. The M4 SOPMOD II figure above has more details and is less expensive than this one. So if I had to choose between the two, I’d pre-order the one above. The only thing this one has going for is that unique base. It doesn’t make it better than the former though.
Pure x Shiko x Milk – Yasu Nao – 1/6 (F.W.A.T)
Lewd alert! This is a hentai figure from a company that’s still relatively new. They had opened a few pre-orders before and their first figure is set to release this month so we don’t have any information yet whether they make good quality or are just trying to make a quick buck. I’m hoping it’s the former. Interesting tidbit — the tail is not protruding from her lower back.
Explicit image removed. Sorry.
Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ♭ – Hyoudou Michiru – 1/7 – Lingerie Ver. (Alter, Aniplex)
Just last week I had unboxed Michiru’s first figure which is a swimsuit version. And this week. I am so glad to be greeted by a pre-order of the lingerie version. She is the final piece of the lingerie version of Saekano figures by Aniplex. If you own Megumi, Utaha, Eriri and have Izumi on pre-order, it’d be a mortal sin to not pre-order Michiru.

Original Character – Yomu Tights Futtotaa? (Union Creative International Ltd)
If you are not yet familiar with the works of Yom, you’re missing out on a lot of thicc thighs and tights. It’s a shame this one is being done by Union Creative as they are not big on quality.
Miru Tights – Okuzumi Yuiko – B-style – 1/4 – Bunny Ver. (FREEing)
More from Yom here. Remember the homeroom teacher from Miru Tights? She’s getting a bunny figure. If you’ve got money to burn, you can’t go wrong with this one. There is not much difference in the 1/7 scale and the 1/4 scale figure price anymore so the bunnies could be really worth it now. Now if only I had more display real estate to display these ginormous beauts.
Original Character – Majimeka! ? Fuuki Iin-san – 1/6 (Daiki Kougyou)
Here’s an original creation in various states of undress. Note that this is a full cast-ff. You can remove everything. I’d like to keep this blog at R16 so you can just head over to the links below to see the goodies.
Shin Evangelion Gekijouban:|| – Souryuu Asuka Langley – 1/7 – Last Mission (Revolve)
We’ve never been short of Asuka figures but I think this is the first one of the white plugsuit. It looks great and the best part is that this is only priced at around ¥14,000. It’s rare to find new pre-orders in that price range especially from a quality manufacturer like Revolve.
Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~ – Kashima – 1/7 (Amakuni, Hobby Japan)
I still fault the publishers of Kancolle for not going global. For being the original shipgirl game, they have really taken a backseat to Azur Lane which went the global route. This one is a rerelease of Amakuni’s Kashima which saw an initial release in 2018.
Nanatsu no Taizai: Fundo no Shinpan – Elizabeth Liones – B-style – 1/4 – Bunny Ver. (FREEing)
So this had me a bit confused. The official listing has no mention of this being a bare-leg version. I’ll have to assume that this is a regular bunny version without fishnets and only half the tight. Would FREEing ever release a pure bare-leg version minus whatever fraction of leg covering we have here? One thing is for sure, Elizabeth is looking mighty fine in a bunny outfit.
I started the NekoFigs blog in January 2021, 5 years after I’ve started collecting anime figures. It all started with one humble prize figure of Saber Lily which was bought on a whim. Now, I face the big problem of how to deal with over 200 empty boxes.
